In this follow-up webinar, Dr. Richard Downie, Senior Fellow for Latin America Studies at the Pacific Council on International Policy will moderate a discussion with Dr. Jane Jaquette, Professor Emeritus, Occidental College and Venezuelan Investigative Journalist Ronna Risquez to explore what lies ahead for Venezuela amid continued political tensions in Venezuela and international pressures.  

Building on the historical and political context discussed in Part I, the Panel will discuss pathways forward for Venezuela’s governance. The current regime in Venezuela remains virtually the same as before Operation Absolute Resolve removed Nicolas Maduro from power on 3 January. Moreover, the US seeks to orchestrate the situation in Venezuela without a substantial US presence in the country.
