The World Affairs Council of Orange County, in collaboration with Soka University of America, is proud to present former Deputy National Security Adviser, Ben Rhodes. Ben Rhodes served as the Deputy National Security Adviser for 8 years. During this special lecture event, Mr. Rhodes will be discussing his newest book: The World As It Is: A Memoir of the Obama White House. Ben Rhodes was an instrumental part of the Obama administration’s foreign policy team and was a particularly key figure in normalizing US-Cuba relations. Rhodes was on Time Magazine’s 40 under 40 list in 2011 and 2014 as well as being dubbed one Foreign Policy Magazine’s top 100 global thinkers in 2015.
