Tour of Art Exhibition & Panel Discussion
In recognition of World Refugee Day and to remember the millions of displaced persons around the world, The Ismaili Council for the Western United States has arranged a tour and a panel discussion with renowned Pakistani artist, Humaira Abid. This exhibition was developed after months of interviews with women who have fled their homes in Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, Afghanistan, to the Pacific Northwest and Pakistan.

About the Artist:
Humaira Abid
Born and raised in Lahore, Humaira Abid came to the United States in 2008 and now lives and works in Seattle. She received her BFA in sculpture and miniature painting from the National College of Arts, Lahore, in 2000. Her works have been exhibited in museums and galleries and documented in publications around the world. She has also been the recipient of prestigious awards and grants.
