The world’s biggest sporting events are no longer measured only by medals or championships. Their lasting legacy lies in the relationships they build, between nations, communities, businesses, and future generations. FIFA 2026 demonstrated the power of sport to connect people across borders. LA28 offers Southern California an unprecedented opportunity to turn those connections into enduring diplomatic, economic, and cultural partnerships.
This panel conversation will cover what makes a sport “global,” and what happens when America becomes a destination for the world’s games rather than simply exporting its own?
